Operational Excellence in Finance & Accounting

Did you know that the operational strategy most effective in achieving world-class financial and accounting performance is Lean Enterprise?

Register to attend CEG’s Lean Finance and Accounting Workshop to learn the lean principles and tools and apply them to finance and accounting.

Dates: July 19 & 20

Time: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Location: TBD, Capital Region, NY

Accounting can be an obstacle when traditional performance metrics are not aligned with your internal processes. Most people understand that operation’s professionals achieve great gains using Lean on the production floor, but are surprised when Lean can also present opportunities to improved operating results for traditional financial reports and accounting processes. Accounting and production must work together to develop new metrics and “plain English” financial reporting.

Who Should Attend

This course will benefit all areas of a company as the entire team needs to understand the scorecard of the business and how to motivate Lean behavior. While accounting professionals will gain a great deal, it is strongly encouraged that associates come as a team in order to build an on going plan that makes sense for the entire company.

Location: TEC-SMART | 345 Hermes Road, Malta, NY 12020

Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) is Governor Cuomo’s comprehensive energy strategy that is leading New York to reliable, resilient and affordable electric service. Modernization of our electric ecosystem is an opportunity and challenge for all energy consumers and we all have a part to play.

On April 15th join energy experts in learning how your organization and its constituents can increase the efficiency of your buildings and deploy renewable energy. We will discuss NYSERDA and National Grid opportunities to lower your energy usage, costs, carbon emissions and the many ways you can incorporate renewable energy at your site and within your community.

The available programs from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and National Grid will help you assess your organizations energy usage and determine potential savings, recognize what rebates are available to implement energy efficient equipment and present opportunities for your organization to generate electricity through solar electric and wind turbines.

It is exciting that we all get to be part of helping New York create a more reliable, resilient and affordable electric ecosystem. Progress is made with every individual action to incorporate energy efficiency and renewable energy!
