Bioconnex will host their 2nd Annual Capital Region Commercialization of Life Sciences Innovation Day (“CR-CLSID”) on June 7, 2013 at AMRI Corporate Headquarters.

The goal of the conference is to showcase life science research and bring together innovative biotechnology researchers and institutions, business executives, academics and possible collaboration partners from within the Capital Region of NY.  Last year, more than 150 people attended to hear from speakers on topics from Public Policy to Hot Life Sciences Research in The Capital Region and Venture Capital Funding. The day will also include presentations by industry speakers from the Bioconnex membership and networking breaks to cultivate relationships between various levels of industry participants. Sponsorship Opportunities

The event includes poster presentations by regional biotechnology innovators, in the context of a mock “open market” contest, in which innovators will have the opportunity to showcase their research. “I encourage the scientists and business development teams of the Capital Region institutions and companies that conduct biotechnological research to submit an abstract to the conference.  The opportunity to discuss your abstract with business executives and experienced entrepreneurs will be invaluable if you have plans for your research and discoveries beyond academia and a start-up,” said Todd Little, President of Taconic and Chairman of Bioconnex.

Research abstracts are currently being accepted and the deadline to submit is April 25th. Call for Abstracts
