Bioconnex is a partnership led by CEG dedicated to the development and growth of the biotechnology community in the Capital Region and Tech Valley as a premier location for biotechnology research, education and industry. The Bioconnex network consists of private companies, higher education institutions, research organizations and the Center for Economic Growth. All employees of member organizations are automatically granted membership.
Bioconnex provides networking and educational events, resources for emerging biotech enterprises and insight into industry-specific regional, state, national and global information. In addition, the network facilitates research collaboration and technology transfer opportunities and focuses on human resource, funding and infrastructure issues affecting the biotechnology industry in the Capital Region and Tech Valley.
Bioconnex offers a variety of events throughout the year, including:
- Capital Region Biotechnology Innovation Day – the signature event hosted by Bioconnex. 2016’s conference, attended by 115 biotechnology enthusiasts, provided an opportunity for networking and highlighting our region’s achievements, facilities and capabilities. Numerous industry professionals spoke on topics such as “Opportunities for Entrepreneurs in New York State”, “New York State and Capital Region Biomedical Initiatives”, and “View from Industry Executives” while startups had an opportunity to present their accomplishments to a panel of peers.
