Transforming Flexible Wearable Medical Devices — The Center for Advanced Microelectronics Manufacturing (CAMM)

A New York State Center of Advanced Technology Binghamton University, State University of New York

Mark Poliks, Director, CAMM and Empire Innovation Professor of Engineering
Mark Schadt, Associate Director, CAMM

NextFlex Manufacturing USA designated Binghamton University as the New York “Node” for its flexible hybrid electronics (FHE) initiative in 2018.  As the New York Node, Binghamton works in collaboration with NY State companies to design, develop and fabricate a broad range of medical and industrial sensors using additive manufacturing processes.  CAMM’s R&D activities focus on design-for-manufacturing, materials, processing and reliability testing that enable small and large companies to succeed in their business and technical objectives.  The center trains and employs an advanced manufacturing workforce and builds on the region’s existing electronics manufacturing base.  As a NY State Center of Advanced Technology, CAMM is committed to work on projects that deliver value to NYS companies.  Using examples from current projects, this presentation will also highlight the capabilities, partnerships and services that can be provided to startup companies.
