TVCOG Presents Food for Thought #17: MadeXHudson on Sustainable Fashion

What does sustainability mean in fashion and how are brands using it? What fashion choices can we make to be more environmentally friendly? Sirpa Cowell of MadeXHudson will discuss some facts and numbers of the fashion industry’s current pollution issues, and efforts targeted on improving sustainability.

Made X Hudson (MxH) is a cut-and-sew garment/soft goods sampling and production facility in Catskill, New York.

Sirpa Cowell has worked over 25 years in international design and product development. Her breadth of experience includes corporate design leadership and expert knowledge of high-quality manufacturing. Sirpa’s design consulting firm, Visualmgmt, helps companies with Creative Direction and builds product lines, as well as takes product photos. Currently she runs the design and production at MadeXHudson, cut and sew manufacturing space in Catskill, NY. She is passionate about local art, painting, design and sustainability.
