Mohawk owner explores expansion in Waterford – Albany Business Review

“The Italian manufacturer that scooped up assets of Mohawk Fine Papers through a foreclosure sale last year is considering a potential expansion project at its Waterford facility.

‘We are currently evaluating the feasibility of expanding our in-house cutting and packaging capabilities,” Gregory Boisson, general manager for Fedrigoni Special Papers North America, said in a statement. “For the time being we cannot unveil any additional details about the project as we are still in a very early stage.’”

Plug Power inks $1 billion stock deal as it spends big on hydrogen

“Plug Power has lined up a $1 billion stock purchase agreement with a private equity firm that the company can use to raise cash to fuel its growth in the green hydrogen market.

Yorkville Advisors of Mountainside, N.J., has agreed to what is known as a standby equity purchase agreement in which one of its investment funds known as YA II PN, Ltd. agreed to purchase up to $1 billion in Plug Power stock if needed within the next two years.”

Survey: Upstate CEOs more optimistic about business growth in 2025

“Upstate CEOs are the most optimistic they have been in years about the prospects for business growth in the Empire State, according to the Siena Research Institute’s annual Upstate New York Business Leader Survey.

It’s not clear how long the feelings will last after President Donald Trump launched a global trade war with not only China but two of its most important allies, Mexico and Canada, by slapping huge new tariffs on imports from those countries.”
