Scrap metal recycler Kelman to buy former Cascades plant in Saratoga County

“Cohoes-based scrap metal recycler Nathan H. Kelman Inc. is under contract to purchase the massive former Cascades tissue plant in Waterford and is seeking municipal approval to convert it into an indoor recycling facility.

The currently vacant, 585,000-square-foot building is located at 148 Hudson River Road. It’s next to the headquarters of Shaker Logistics and a short distance from a Momentive Performance Materials facility.”

Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen mac and cheese to be sold at Price Chopper/Market 32

“Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen, an Albany-based soul food restaurant, is expanding with the sale of prepared food products in local grocery stores.

The restaurant’s macaroni and cheese will be available in 21 Market 32 and Price Chopper stores in the Capital Region starting today. It’s available in hot grab-and-go containers as well as cold take-and-heat containers in the prepared food section.”

Historic Buildings On South Street In Glens Falls Are In Midst Of Revitalization

“South Street in Glens Falls is undergoing a significant revitalization, and Saratoga Springs-based Bonacio Construction, Inc. is at the forefront of the effort.

Construction is underway on what the company is calling the Market Square project, which is the revitalization of the buildings at 41 and 45 South Street and 36 Elm Street. Forty-one South Street is the former Sandy’s Clam Bar and 45 South Street is the former Hotshots building. Thirty-six Elm Street is a three-story warehouse known as the “incubator” building.”

A New Amphitheater Design Promises World-Class Performances And Stunning Views

“The design for the new Shepard park amphitheater and bandstand has received positive reviews since the plans were unveiled by AJA Architecture and Lake George officials in late January.

‘We are endorsing the design, we love it. It will increase attendance and becomes its own art piece,’ said Tanya Tobias-Tomis, director of Lake George Arts Project.”
