Walk Thru NY brings construction projects to life in Colonie
“Over his 10 years of experience in the construction business, Altamont-based builder Alex Ritmo has completed new houses and home additions for clients across the Capital Region. Oftentimes, after construction is complete, Ritmo said clients come to him and say they wished certain aspects of their projects were bigger, such as a laundry room or master closet.
It inspired Ritmo and his longtime friend Gabe August, a real estate salesperson based in Guilderland, to open WalkThru NY, a business that allows its customers to visualize life-sized construction plans to scale.”

“The U.S. Commerce Department and xLight recently signed a letter of intent detailing an arrangement that will hand the government an equity stake in xLight in exchange for the federal funding. Neither the text of the letter nor the particulars of the deal beyond the $150 million investment were made available.
The signing of the letter was announced by U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik of Schuylerville, who called the agreement “a beacon of hope for future generations of New Yorkers and for innovation, technology, and manufacturing in our great state.” Stefanik, who last month launched a gubernatorial campaign, took the opportunity to slam Gov. Kathy Hochul, her potential Democratic opponent.”
Bethlehem’s newest senior economic developer is giving her all
“Brianne Conner, the town of Bethlehem’s newest senior economic developer, might be the first person to fill that position who can also fill in as a piano accompanist at Bethlehem’s Senior Choir practice in Town Hall.
A true Renaissance woman, Conner brings to her economic development position all the skills and discipline she acquired first as a musician with a master’s degree in piano pedagogy, then as a longtime director of a disability services program — while having also earned a second master’s in public administration.”
