Albany Med joins Columbia Development, Galesi Group for Liberty Park
“The Albany Med Health System is participating in a potential development in downtown Albany — the latest wrinkle in the future of the so-called Liberty Park site surrounding the Greyhound bus station.
Dan Pickett, president and CEO of the health system, told the Business Review in a prepared statement Tuesday afternoon that Albany Med has been talking to the Galesi Group of Schenectady and Albany-based Columbia Development Cos. about the 8-acre site near MVP Arena.”
Gross Electric aims for $200M in revenue this year
“Gross Electric expects its revenue to more than triple this year, buoyed by a recent acquisition in Western New York and major projects in the Carolinas.
‘We could comfortably sit back and just maintain the Capital District, and the lights would stay on, and we could be content,’ said Joe Gross, founder and president of the Queensbury-based company. ‘But we had this opportunity.’”
New Highlands Distilling Co. wants to open at Queensbury site
“The site of the now-closed Adventure Family Fun Center on Route 9 in Queensbury could become a craft distillery with a tasting room.
The new owner is seeking to add craft distilling as a permitted use in the commercial intensive zone, according to plans filed with the town.”
Luizzi Cos. gets OK for Colonie industrial park expansion
“Luizzi Cos. received approval to build the next phase of an industrial park in Colonie that has warehouse tenants such as agribusiness giant Cargill, Best Buy and state government.
The Colonie Planning Board on Tuesday approved the site plan for phase two of the Lincoln Avenue Industrial Park at 855-861 First St.”
