The 7,500-square-foot complex at 39 Ontario St., near the 112th Street Bridge that links Cohoes to Troy, is nearly double the size of Sowinski Steel’s previous home in Saratoga County, according to owner David Sowinski, who founded the subcontracting business about seven years ago.”

Catemer Inc.’s plans for Latham building to receive Albany County support

“An accomplished scientist’s efforts to overhaul an office/warehouse in Latham for a consortium of semiconductor-industry suppliers has teed up significant support from Albany County’s economic development arms.

Advanced materials company Catemer Inc., led by chemist and entrepreneur Barry Arkles, was awarded a $1 million low-interest loan last month from the Albany County Business Development Corp. for the Latham project.”

“Summer temperatures may be fading in the Capital Region, making a dip in the pool less of a treat than when it’s scorching hot outside.

But that’s not impacting revenue at Latham Group, the pool manufacturer based in Colonie near the airport, which reported nearly $173 million in second-quarter revenue earlier last month. “
