Learning Experience plans day care on Albany Shaker Road in Colonie

“Plans have been submitted to the town of Colonie to build the Albany region’s second location of The Learning Experience — a fast-growing child care provider in the U.S.

If approved by the planning board, a 10,000-square-foot day care center with a 5,000-square-foot playground and parking would be built on undeveloped land at 447 Albany Shaker Road, just south of Osborne Road.”

New warehouse at Grande Industrial Park in Saratoga planned

“Munter Land Holdings wants to construct a 120,000-square-foot warehouse on the eastern edge of the W.J. Grande Industrial Park in Saratoga Springs.

John Munter filed plans with the Saratoga Springs Planning Department to develop a portion of a 12.4-acre property at 20 Skyward Drive.”

Russell Sage College, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to merge

“Russell Sage College and Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will seek regulatory approval to merge, the institutions said Tuesday.

College officials expect to complete the merger by the fall of 2027, once approvals from state and federal regulators, accreditors, lenders and other parties have been secured.”

Equal Vision Records and MerchNow move to new Albany HQ in the South End

“Equal Vision Records has a new groove.

The independent record label recently moved from its longtime home off Fuller Road near Interstate 90 into a newly renovated manufacturing building in Albany’s South End neighborhood.”

Live-In Schenectady investors aim to build more houses on Barrett Street

“A group of private investors is starting construction on the second phase of an infill development in Schenectady meant to attract more homeowners downtown.

Live-In Schenectady, a group committed to investing in new housing in Schenectady, completed construction and sold the first 15 homes of a development project along Barrett Street earlier this year. The housing partnership will begin construction of 14 more homes along the street just north of the city’s Little Italy neighborhood this summer.”

Luizzi Companies Will Soon Start Construction Of 146 Marketplace In The Town Of Halfmoon

“A significant mixed-use project in Saratoga County is on the cusp of getting underway.

Luizzi Companies, developers of 146 Marketplace, has secured all approvals from the Town of Halfmoon and is waiting on a Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) agreement prior to breaking ground. Company officials expect to finalize that agreement by June.”
