SUMMARY:Food for Thought Business & Product Development Virtual Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:The Manufacturing Incubator at Tech Valley Center of Gravity presents Food for Thought: A Business & Product Development Virtual Luncheon Series. \nNeed to get parts\, fixtures\, or equipment made? Knowing how to clearly communicate with your fabricator is key. Terence Musto of Fabbro® Industries will go over how a qualified fabrication shop can be an asset to your product development\, a few keys to effectively working with your fabricator\, and field any lingering questions about anything fabrication related. \n  \nFabbro® Industries is a R&D company focused on small batch\, high quality manufacturing of metal components. We are rooted in the two-wheeled world with our patented integrated suspension motorcycle & bicycle frame\, known as the Type 57x®. His passion for motorcycles started at an early age and he built his first chopper in his parents’ garage on weekends while at Babson College studying finance. After college\, he apprenticed with Michael “Copper Mike” Cole at Gravesend Cycles\, where he became head fabricator and shop foreman. T started Fabbro Industries\, LLC in 2013 after realizing the need for innovation in the industry\, and spawning the invention of its patented flagship product\, the Type 57x® integrated suspension frame. He is the Creator\, CEO and head of design and fabrication of Fabbro Industries. He is a qualified welder\, having held certifications in MIG and TIG processes. \n  \n***************** \nThis free\, virtual series is brought to you by the Manufacturing Incubator at Tech Valley Center of Gravity\, a certified NYS Incubator and affiliated Innovate 518 Hotspot partner supported by the Empire State Development Division of Science\, Technology\, and Innovation (NYSTAR). \n  \n  \nThe Manufacturing Incubator provides expert coaching\, advisory services and support for product-related startups. SUMMARY:Future Supply Chain Disruptions in 2022
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Dr. Patrick Penfield\, Professor of Supply Chain Practice\, Syracuse University \nWith its variants\, COVID-19 continues to impact different parts of the world at different times. Extreme weather events\, which have unleashed environmental catastrophes leading to loss of human lives\, continue to prevent areas around the world from producing and moving materials. Cybersecurity issues are disrupting systems and impacting supply chains while shutting down businesses. Geo-political issues could threaten our supply of energy and semi-conductor chips. The looming longshoreman potential strike could impact our already overwhelmed ports in California. And lastly\, the “bull whip effect” could cause inventory issues for companies in 2022. \nWhat supply chain disruptions should we expect in 2022? When will this global supply chain chaos end? Will we get back to normal? Get these questions answered by Dr. Patrick Penfield\, Professor of Supply Chain Practice at Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management during this webinar. \nREGISTER HERE>> \n
