It’s a complex issue with no perfect solution. There is also no perfect material; each has its strengths and weaknesses. \nMike Tucker of Tucker Consulting\, LLC will pull from his extensive knowledge of the packaging industry to present some considerations when designing plastic products for reuse and recycling. We’ll touch on what materials are the easiest to recycle\, biodegradability\, and what happens at recycling centers and landfills. \nMike Tucker is a former VP of Sales and Engineering at Sonoco Plastics\, a global packaging solutions leader.
