Specifically\, learn about how NYSERDA’s 90+ Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs) mentor/coach startups on their path to success. Also\, the right management team can make all the difference in raising money and executing a business plan. NYSERDA EIR Program\, administered by Columbia Technology Ventures\, will provide an overview of their unique process to match C-level candidates with existing startup teams. \nAbout Tim Hoffman: \nTim is currently Program Director for the NYSERDA EIR Program\, administered by Columbia Technology Ventures. The NYSERDA EIR program offers mentoring services\, including advisory\, pitch coaching\, grant writing\, etc.\, and provides C-level matching services to promising early stage clean energy and climate tech companies in the State of New York. \nFor over 20 years Tim has provided strategic and M&A advisory\, capital raising\, and financial modeling services for large corporations\, family-run firms\, renewable energy developers\, middle market companies and early stage enterprises. Recently\, Tim served as Managing Director with Karbone Capital Markets (formerly Watts Capital\, LLC)\, a FINRA and SIPC member broker-dealer. He also serves as NYC Metro Director of the Cleantech Open Northeast and Board member of the NECECi. \nPreviously\, Tim was an Entrepreneur in Residence for NYSERDA\, served as Co-Chairman of the Cleantech Open Board\, participated on the Advisory Board of the Global Sourcing Council\, and was a Managing Director with Scott-Macon\, Ltd. and Natixis Bleichroeder\, Inc. Tim is a graduate of Indiana University\, where he earned two B.A. degrees and spent one year studying at Universität Hamburg. He later earned an M.A.E. with a concentration in Finance from the University of Michigan. Tim is fluent in German and proficient in Japanese and holds Series 7\, 79 and 63 securities licenses. \nAbout Columbia Technology Ventures: \nColumbia Technology Ventures is the technology transfer office for Columbia University and a central location for many of the technology development initiatives\, entrepreneurial activities\, external industry collaborations\, and commercially-oriented multidisciplinary technology innovations across the university.?
