SUMMARY:Future Supply Chain Disruptions in 2022
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Dr. Patrick Penfield\, Professor of Supply Chain Practice\, Syracuse University \nWith its variants\, COVID-19 continues to impact different parts of the world at different times. Extreme weather events\, which have unleashed environmental catastrophes leading to loss of human lives\, continue to prevent areas around the world from producing and moving materials. Cybersecurity issues are disrupting systems and impacting supply chains while shutting down businesses. Geo-political issues could threaten our supply of energy and semi-conductor chips. The looming longshoreman potential strike could impact our already overwhelmed ports in California. And lastly\, the “bull whip effect” could cause inventory issues for companies in 2022. \nWhat supply chain disruptions should we expect in 2022? When will this global supply chain chaos end? Will we get back to normal? Get these questions answered by Dr. Patrick Penfield\, Professor of Supply Chain Practice at Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management during this webinar. \nREGISTER HERE>> \n

SUMMARY:CEG & Reshoring Institute: What the Pandemic Taught Us: Building a Resilient Manufacturing Business
DESCRIPTION:CEG & Reshoring Institute: What the Pandemic Taught Us: Building a Resilient Manufacturing Business | Dec 14 12:30-1:30 PM \nThe pandemic strained industries around the nation and at the core of these supply chains were disruptions from both domestic and offshore manufacturers. Some were prepared\, but many were unprepared for the many months of varying disruptions to supply chains\, workforce\, price increases\, mandates\, and more. Though we saw New Yorkers step up in many ways to REACT to the ever changing challenges\, there were definitely cracks. So we ask\, how can we do better? \nThe Center for Economic Growth\, in partnership with the The Reshoring Institute conducted in-depth research to better understand the challenges\, best practices and opportunities that we were presented in the last 18 months. This included doing in person interviews with manufacturing companies\, government leaders\, associations\, and regional economic development leaders as well as gathering intelligence from different publications around the state and the nation.      \nPlease join us on December 14th as we host with the Reshoring Institute on a summary of the research\, findings\, and recommendations.  \n  \nREGISTER HERE>>\nZoom link will be provided in your registration confirmation email. \n\n

SUMMARY:CEG & Siena Research Foundation: Manufacturing Outlooks & Supply Chain Report
DESCRIPTION:CEG Manufacturing Supply Chain Impacts & Future Resiliency Webinars 12/9 & 12/14 \n  \nCEG’s Business Growth Solutions and our partner MEP centers at Central NY TDO\, and Stonybrook’s MTRC conducted a statewide manufacturing supply chain survey and supply chain resiliency study as part of CARES funds received from the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) and the New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). \nBelow you will find two webinars that will share the results of each study (registration required): \nCEG & Siena Research Foundation: Manufacturing Outlooks & Supply Chain Report | Dec 9 | 12:00-1:30PM \nManufacturers around the world and domestically have been challenged by the global pandemic. There were disruptions at all stages that led to lost business\, cancelled orders\, closures\, supply chain shortages\, increased costs and more. Understanding the impacts on critical supplies\, effect on business outlook\, workforce loss\, and the critical essential assets is an important step in developing the story to facilitate a roadmap for better resiliency and communicating the needs to our regional and national leaders.  \nThe Center for Economic Growth\, in partnership with Siena Research Institute\, conducted a Supply Chain and Business Outlook survey among New York State manufacturers between July and October of 2021.    \nPlease join us on December 9th as we host with the Siena Research Foundation on the findings of this survey.\n  \nREGISTER HERE>>\nZoom link will be provided in your registration confirmation email. \n\n  \nCEG & Reshoring Institute: What the Pandemic Taught Us: Building a Resilient Manufacturing Business | Dec 14 12:30-1:30 PM \nThe pandemic strained industries around the nation and at the core of these supply chains were disruptions from both domestic and offshore manufacturers. \n  \nCLICK HERE TO VIEW THE DEC 14 WEBINAR EVENT >>\n\n \n  \n\n  \n
