DESCRIPTION:Join us for a free Knowledge @ Noon webinar on Tuesday\, July 8 for DiSC: Empower Your Team featuring Sami Gowan\, Director Talent Development\, Capital Region Chamber. \nThe DiSC self-assessment can be utilized to improve communication and to better understand oneself and others. Learn how to adapt your leadership style and work preferences to yield better results and drive collaboration. The DiSC assessment gives your team access to the online Catalyst platform that is a fully customized learning hub that reflects your unique team dynamic and supports continued learning. \n  \nSamantha (Sami) Gowan joined the Chamber team in November of 2022. She has played a pivotal role as the Liaison to Leadership Capital Region and the Young Professionals Network. In this capacity\, she has demonstrated exceptional event management and programming skills. Sami has been instrumental in assembling dynamic committee members and volunteers to drive these meaningful initiatives. In partnership with the Center for Economic Growth\, Sami delivers leadership training on DiSC and Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. Prior to her role at the Chamber\, Sami dedicated sixteen years\, in management\, learning and development\, to a renowned Fortune 500 company.    \nSami’s educational foundation is from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia\, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a specialization in Musical Theatre. This formative experience honed her creative and communicative abilities\, setting the stage for her future success.   \nFor over a decade\, Sami has shared her passion for yoga as a 500 HR certified yoga instructor\, with a focus on prenatal and children’s classes. Sami is a proud wife and mother of three daughters. She can most often be found outside of work at any of our local ice rinks\, all her girls play hockey or figure skate\, which feels like a full-time job! Outside of the rink Sami and her family love to bake pizza from\, create art\, hike\, and spend time in Maine.  \n
