DESCRIPTION:New York’s bio/med industry employs thousands of workers across the state in fields including medical research\, advanced manufacturing\, bioinformatics\, artificial intelligence\, computer software\, and the development of life-enhancing and life-saving drugs\, devices and treatments. Bolstered by our world-class universities\, our unparalleled physical assets\, and the state’s rich tradition of innovation\, the bio/med industry is driving the future of the state’s economy. \nOur ability to grow this industry sector\, to attract outside investment\, and to position New York State as the choice for the next generation of workers is threatened by vexing workforce challenges.
