SUMMARY:Global IP Strategy for US based Small Life-Science Companies
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Preben Rasmussen\, PhD and Jakob Poulsen\, PhD\, VALUA ApS \n\nThe US market is arguably the most interesting target for most Life-Science companies. US patent law differs markedly from the rest of the world. Thus\, a short-term myopic focus on the possibilities for obtaining patent protection in the US may imply inadvertent deselection of patent protection outside of the US. \nWe will present our recommendations concerning current best-practice for obtaining world-wide patent protection\, while keeping control of the patent costs. Additional IP protection will also be touched upon. \n  \nREGISTER HERE>>\n  \n

SUMMARY:New York Bio/Med Industry Workforce Summit
DESCRIPTION:New York’s bio/med industry employs thousands of workers across the state in fields including medical research\, advanced manufacturing\, bioinformatics\, artificial intelligence\, computer software\, and the development of life-enhancing and life-saving drugs\, devices and treatments. Bolstered by our world-class universities\, our unparalleled physical assets\, and the state’s rich tradition of innovation\, the bio/med industry is driving the future of the state’s economy. \nOur ability to grow this industry sector\, to attract outside investment\, and to position New York State as the choice for the next generation of workers is threatened by vexing workforce challenges. To address these challenges\, MedTech is bringing together industry\, academic and government leaders\, along with workforce problem-solvers\, to tackle this most pressing issue at our New York Bio/Med Industry Workforce Summit. \nThe purpose of the New York Bio/Med Industry Workforce Summit is: to identify the breadth and scope of our industry’s workforce challenges; to bring together stakeholders to share solutions; and to forge meaningful and lasting collaborations aimed at advancing our shared interests. \nPlease note: We will follow all NYS guidelines re: mask wearing and/or vaccination status that are in place at time of this event. \n\n  \nREGISTER HERE>>\n  \n
