US patent law differs markedly from the rest of the world. Thus\, a short-term myopic focus on the possibilities for obtaining patent protection in the US may imply inadvertent deselection of patent protection outside of the US. \nWe will present our recommendations concerning current best-practice for obtaining world-wide patent protection\, while keeping control of the patent costs.
