DESCRIPTION:New York’s bio/med industry employs thousands of workers across the state in fields including medical research\, advanced manufacturing\, bioinformatics\, artificial intelligence\, computer software\, and the development of life-enhancing and life-saving drugs\, devices and treatments. Bolstered by our world-class universities\, our unparalleled physical assets\, and the state’s rich tradition of innovation\, the bio/med industry is driving the future of the state’s economy. \nOur ability to grow this industry sector\, to attract outside investment\, and to position New York State as the choice for the next generation of workers is threatened by vexing workforce challenges. Our goal is to help inventors and entrepreneurs navigate the business world. \nSHARING NIGHTS: Share your project’s current status\, get and give feedback\, explore next steps\, connect with potential team members. \nSPEAKER NIGHTS: Once a quarter we’ll host a speaker who will share their experiences and lessons learned from their entrepreneurial journey\, followed by Q&A and discussion. \nWe’ll also share other events that may be of interest to this community. \nThis meetup is organized by The Tech Valley Center of Gravity. We are a makerspace\, prototyping center\, manufacturing incubator\, STEAM-education center and creative community located in the heart of downtown Troy\, New York.
