SUMMARY:Capital Region Cancer Research New Frontiers Symposium: New Strategies and Technologies in Cancer Research
DESCRIPTION:The Capital Region Cancer Research group (CRCR) will sponsor a half-day symposium as part of their CRCR New Frontiers Series\, entitled “New strategies and technologies in cancer research” on November 1\, 2019 at the Albany College of Pharmacy Gozzo Student Center (Rite Aid Lounge).  \n This is the sixth such cancer symposium in this series\, previously held in 2008\, 2010\, 2012\, 2014 and 2016. The symposium is intended to bring together investigators in New York’s Capital Region who work on various aspects of cancer. \nThe day-long symposium will feature seminars by local cancer researchers including basic research scientists\, clinical research scientists\, student and post-doctoral trainees\, and industry scientists. \nCALL FOR ABSTRACTS – DEADLINE EXTENDED\nAbstracts are now being accepted from which additional symposium speakers will be selected. All Abstracts will be presented as posters\, and prizes awarded for posters of excellence. Abstracts may be on any topic relevant to cancer research\, including enabling technologies.  View full requirements & how to submit an Abstract here. \nA poster session will also be held with prizes awarded and top abstracts selected for oral presentation. \nParking: Parking will be available close to the student center and signs will be placed at the sidewalks to direct attendants to the event. \nNo cost to attend\, however please Register: \nRegistration is open >> \n
