Program

The Watervliet Innovation Center accelerates the growth of select group of New York’s most promising technology ventures by guiding them into the homeland security, national security and defense markets. We draw upon the deep business, technology and market expertise of our partners, advisors and in-house team to deliver hands-on, customized assistance to participating companies. We do this by providing services in four strategic areas: market visibility, technology commercialization, business services and infrastructure.

Organization  

The Watervliet Innovation Center is a program of the Center for Economic Growth (CEG). CEG is a private, not-for-profit, economic development organization seeking to bolster the economy of the Capital Region of New York State by promoting the growth of technology-based businesses.

CEG has a 20 year track record of success in developing and delivering programs to promote and support technology entrepreneurs and manufacturers. CEG draws its strength from the broad support of the business and technology community, including funding partners such as leading executives and corporations across our region, the New York State Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP).
