The Innovation Center utilizes a depth of business, technology and market expertise to aid the rapid expansion of homeland security, national security and defense technology companies. In April an Inaugural Innovation Forum was co-hosted at the University at Albany's College of Computing and Information by Innovation Center Advisor Peter Bloniarz, PhD. The Innovation Forum highlighted technologies in Politics and New Media. Expert presenter was Kathie Legg, former Political Producer for Yahoo! and now with the new mobile division at the LA Times.




InterScience, Inc. has been awarded funding as part of at a National Institutes of Health (NIH) pilot program through the Federal Manufacturing Extension Partnership to help Small Business Innovation Research recipients. “As an R&D company, transition to manufacturing has always been a challenge,” said InterScience President Dr. James T. Woo. “NYSTAR’s participation in the Federal Manufacturing Partnership program with NIH is very valuable in helping small technology companies to overcome this transition barrier.” More
