The Center for Economic Growth and Partners To Address New York Biotechnology Association 17th Annual Meeting

Albany, N.Y. – The Center for Economic Growth (CEG) today announced that it will be facilitating a panel of speakers for the New York Biotechnology Association (NYBA) 17th Annual Meeting, May 19-20, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. 

Under the banner of “The Cures Start Here®,” more than 600 executives, investors, entrepreneurs, policy makers, scientists, researchers and journalists will be in attendance for this year’s meeting, the largest regional biotech event of its kind. 

 

The panel, Biotech and Economic Development in NYS: A Discussion of Statewide and Regional Efforts, will feature Eugene Schuler, Chair of Bioconnex; Jeffrey Lawrence, Executive Vice President, CEG; Joseph Scaduto, Assistant Director of Business Development New York State Center for Biotechnology; and Deborah Flack, Marketing Director, New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC), which coordinates NY Loves Bio.

The panel is 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, May 19. Panelists will discuss the "NY Loves Biotech" marketing initiative; the Center for Advanced Technology in Biotechnology Model and services offered to biotech companies; and the lessons to be learned from CEG’s "NY loves Nanotech" initiative that can be applied to the growth of the biotech industry in New York State.
