"Thank you, once again, CEG, for hosting last night’s “Speed Mentoring” event. I learned more about the specific next steps required to put a new venture on a solid footing than from the last four months of my reading and researching! I’m still euphoric over the experience! Hearing from and speaking with entrepreneurs’ who had actually “walked the walk” made a far more impressive impact than I had anticipated. It made my dreams seem more plausible, more real, and yes, more achievable; the advice was relevant, specific and can be immediately acted upon. I can’t thank you and the “tech mentors” enough." ---Mark Mitchell

Susan Lundberg
President
Capital Tech Search
In 1999, Susan Lundberg capitalized on her experience and opened Capital Tech Search, a search firm specializing in full-time Information Technology (IT/IS) placements in Tech Valley.
Capital Tech Search provides organizations with the tools necessary to take a strategic look at their IT staffing needs. Some of the types of searches Capital Tech Search has successfully filled over the years include software developers ( .NET, Java, C++,SQL) network engineers, technical architects, PC technicians, project managers, tech support, and directors/VPs of technology.
As president, Lundberg uses her 20-plus years of business experience to fully satisfy her clients' and candidates needs and help them meet their strategic goals. A testament to her success is the number of referrals she receives. Referrals come from people she’s placed in the past and even from people she didn’t place but who had a positive experience dealing with her. Ms. Lundberg takes pride in the number of technologist she knows throughout Tech Valley.
After graduating from Shaker HS and Syracuse University, she resided in CA and NJ. In 1995 Ms. Lundberg returned to the area. She put her people skills to use first by joining Uniforce, a technology staffing company, then founding Capital Tech Search. Currently she is a member of the Techconnex Steering Committee, Sponsor of the Tech Valley .Net User Group and CD Java Developers Network.

Jill Spofford
Recruitment Manager
Pitney Bowes
Jill Spofford obtained her bachelors degree in psychology from Siena College in 1998. She began her recruitment career immediately following graduation as a technical recruiter with a small software consulting firm called Approach Inc. in White Plains, NY. It was at Approach that she was lucky enough to learn the art of recruiting under an IBM recruiting veteran. A year later, Jill moved on to Tallan, a 500 employee technical consulting company. It was at Tallan her true sourcing skills were put to the test while hiring extremely technical software developers who could also be in front of clients and were willing to travel 100%, a mix that was not easy to find! While at Tallan, Jill also completed her masters in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Fairfield University. After four years conducting full life cycle technical recruitment with Tallan, Jill moved back to the Albany area and set her sights on obtaining a job with MapInfo Corporation. At the time, there were no recruitment opportunities available at MapInfo, but Jill was hired as an HR Generalist. She severed in that capacity for MapInfo for just over one year, and then became the companies' first dedicated recruiter in 2004. Since then, Jill has seen the recruitment function grow to 6 full time recruiters. In 2007, MapInfo was acquired by Pitney Bowes and is now the software division called Pitney Bowes Business Insight, with 1800 associates worldwide and over $400m in annual revenues. Currently, Jill manages the global recruitment team and is responsible for all recruitment activity for Business Insight.
