The Business Review
Early-stage companies in search of funding will have a chance to present their business plans and compete for capital at the SmartStart UNYTECH Venture Forum being held on May 15 and 16 at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, N.Y.
Presenting companies will have the opportunity to pitch their business plans to a cross-section of the investment community, including venture capital funds, seed investment funds, angel groups and other public and private investors.
Startups can click here to apply. Deadline for applications is March 8. Cost is $250 per application.
Last year, more than 30 companies particpated in the event, held in Buffalo.
The forum, in its 13th year, is organized by Albany’s Center for Economic Growth.
Since its inception, the competition has featured 255 companies that have raised more than $500 million in equity financing. Event organizers say more than $72 million that is directly attributable to the companies’ participation in the forum.
