ALBANY — Albany Medical College will add two floors of research laboratories and 20 employees, 10 of them scientists, thanks to $10 million in federal and state stimulus grants.
The expansion is expected to increase collaboration with other area research institutions, including the University at Albany, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the state Health Department’s Wadsworth Center laboratories, the school said.
Albany Medical Center’s president and CEO, James Barba, made the announcement Monday morning at a press conference at the Hilton Garden Inn at Albany Medical Center.
