Incubator for rural businesses gets funds

COXSACKIE -- A new program designed to bolster emerging businesses in the more rural parts of the Capital Region is set to receive nearly $300,000 from the federal government.   The money -- $282,000 to be exact -- will go to fund a new business incubator created by the Center for Economic Growth and the Greene County Industrial Development Agency. 

Quietly created earlier this year, the program, known as the Greene Accelerator, is on Mansion Street in Coxsackie in the same building that houses the Greene IDA offices. The program offers 3,000 square feet of space to growing companies in the region, according to its Web site.
