More than 350 business, government and community leaders will join CEG to review 2013 initiative and program highlights, as well as conduct the annual CEG Board Elections. The Annual Meeting is considered CEG’s premiere networking event, with recent meetings held at Hudson Valley Community College’s Tec Smart, Rensselaer’s Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) and the College of Nanoscale, Science and Engineering.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Alain Kaloyeros, Senior Vice President and CEO of the SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE), who will discuss Governor Andrew Cuomo’s high-tech economic development strategy, including the innovative Start-Up NY program.
Dr. Kaloyeros received his Ph.D. in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1987. He has authored and co-authored over 150 articles and contributed to 7 books on topics pertaining to the science and technology of nanoelectronics and nano-optoelectronics.
