Local Government Council
The Capital Region Local Government Council (LGC) was founded in 1997 to give local government leaders a forum to identify issues of importance to local governments, discuss opportunities for regional cooperation, and foster working relationships among local leaders. The LGC’s activities are facilitated by the Center for Economic Growth. CEG’s membership has expressed a strong interest in moving the Region ahead through local government and public-private partnerships. LGC members meet quarterly in individual working groups and at large in a roundtable discussion format.
