In addition to pursuing targeted economic development strategies, CEG focuses on the "big picture" behind business development. Long-range planning, strategic investments in infrastructure, and enhancing quality of life are crucial to healthy sustainable regional growth.
Community outreach, communication and collaboration are critical components of regional development and preparation. CEG works with its members, local business, government, not-for-profit and academic stakeholders to identify issues, conduct research and study best practices from across the country. This input helps local leaders make informed decisions on the type and scale of growth supported by their communities and consistent with the region’s strengths.
