Albany, N.Y. – The Center for Economic Growth (CEG) today announced that the organization has hired Kimberly Perone as Director of Membership Development and Communication.  Perone, a graduate of the University at Albany and a native of Scotia, was the former Communications Manager at chemical manufacturer SI Group in Schenectady. Prior to that, she was the Director of Community Development in Schenectady. “Kim brings a solid background with both economic development and communication.

We are pleased to add such a well-known, proven individual to our senior management team,” said F. Michael Tucker, CEG’s President and CEO. Perone’s first priority will be on member relations and building awareness of CEG, its programs and initiatives, and the associated benefits. She will also encourage and facilitate collaboration with local economic development agencies, state entities, elected officials, companies and academic institutions to further establish and develop the region’s growth initiatives.  “This is exciting and important work,” explained Perone. “My focus to start is simple: meet current and potential members, listen to their ideas and concerns and engage them as partners. Building a close and powerful relationship with members is my number one priority because, ultimately, they are the engine the enables CEG’s drive to success.”
