AMD's Grose: The Foundry Co. to rebrand

The person to lead The Foundry Co. says he’s excited about the project in Malta and shovels should be in the ground next spring to begin work on a new computer chip plant.

Doug Grose, a senior vice president at Advanced Micro Devices Inc., is now the CEO of The Foundry Co. That’s a title Grose will assume when the new company being created by AMD (NYSE: AMD) and Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC) of Abu Dhabi is formalized.
