Center For Economic Growth The Center for Economic Growth (CEG) is a private, not-for-profit; membership based economic and business development organization founded in 1987 and committed to visionary, regional economic expansion.  CEG serves the 11-county Capital Region of New York State, a significant portion of the Tech Valley corridor, which spans from the Canadian border to the counties just north of New York City.   

CEG implements strategic initiatives to enhance the Region's competitiveness by:

In addition to support from its dedicated members, the Center for Economic Growth receives significant funding from the NYS Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR), New York’s high-technology economic development agency, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) / Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) and National Grid.  As the designated Regional Technology Development Center for the New York State’s Capital Region and one of nearly 350 MEP locations across the country, CEG is charged with assisting local manufacturing and technology companies generate new sales, create stronger operational infrastructure, and overcome barriers to growth. 

NYSTAR is a public benefit corporation that helps grow New York’s innovation economy with its support of high technology development and commercialization through academic and business partnerships
